Robotic Process Automation

Our team works with clients to identify process that can be automated.  Then, develop and deploy automated processes to alleviate bottlenecks, and offload tedious processes, all while increasing throughput and repeatability.

A successful robotic process automation (RPA) implementation allows companies to embrace digital workflows and do more with their existing systems, resources, and processes.

If you are struggling with how to get started with RPA Services, get in touch with our experienced RPA experts.  We can help you eliminate mundane, inefficient, and repetitive tasks across your entire organization.

Intelligent Document Processing (IDP)

Intelligent Document Processing is a main key to successful automation.  But, like much of technology that has gone through a marketing cycle, IDP can be an ambiguous term.  Though there are tons of buzz words that can be thrown into the discussion, at a fundamental level, IDP means converting documents into information the system can use with some level of imbedded understanding/classification.

IDP is more than Optical Character Recognition (OCR)

Quiet often, IDP is confused with OCR.  And that makes sense as IDP wouldn’t be possible without OCR having existed.  But, there are distinct differences between them.

OCR output is simply a best guess transformation of an image into a machine-readable form.  With the OCR process, there is no “recognition” of what the output “means.”

IDP leverages Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to “understand” documents.

Where OCR can transform pixels into 2 0 0 9, IDP can recognize that 2009 is the year portion of a date. From a technical discussion standpoint, data “recognition” is called “structured”.

Every organization deals with two types of data:

  • structured data that could be put in a spreadsheet or a database table
  • unstructured data that includes documents, images, videos, voice, etc.

80-90% of the data is unstructured, meaning it’s not easily accessible and cannot be used for automatic processing unless it’s converted into a structured form.

Most critical business data is found in documents in unstructured form. It is essential for the success of any organization looking to implement automation to be able to process documents efficiently.  This is why IDP solutions are so valuable.

IDP transforms unstructured content from documents into structured data that can be used in automated processes.

The Benefits of Intelligent Document Processing

  • Ability to automate human input and/or interpretation processes
  • Saving up to 90% of time and resources on manual document processing
  • Reducing the number of errors as human operators are focused on data verification rather than typing.
  • Achieving higher customer satisfaction by providing faster and higher quality service:
    • order processing
    • invoice payments
    • insurance claims processing
    • accelerating document-related processes

Typical RPA Engagement

  1. Verification of fit.
  2. Quick Proof of Concept to validate the impact of RPA using existing systems.

  3. Classification of viable tasks to identify initial automation candidates, prioritizing those that get RPA working quickest while yielding measurable benefit.

  4. A strategic plan building on the initial automations.
