Who we are
ETL Technologies, LLC is a Connecticut based consulting firm that specializes in practical application of emerging technologies. ETL was formed after repeated requests from clients of our software product company who were looking for assistance developing and deploying RPA, AI, and DLT related projects.
ETL was created with the sole purpose of allowing organizations to quickly pilot emerging technology in a way that allows future development and support. We have deep experience with State and Local governments, Microsoft Azure based solutions, and Distributed Ledger Technologies.
Our founders have each boot strapped multiple companies, with one founder having been involved with over 10 startups. The consistency among all that experience has been a disillusionment of the change in culture that seemed to occur after the sale. In almost every instance, the focus of the purchasing company invariably swung away from prioritizing customer and employee satisfaction. Instead, they focused on profit at almost any cost.
ETL is a company dedicated to offering transparent work and customer environments. Where clients are only brought on board when there is a solid fit between what the customer needed and the company's abilkity to deliver. This may seem like pretty basic stuff, after all it’s in most all company marketing. The problem is, most companies don’t truly follow through on those pledges. Not out of malice, but out of economic survival. The question then is how can any company marry good intentions with required cashflow? The answer has been to make sure all our engagements provide real world benefit in the shortest amount of time with the least added systems and costs.
ETL’s guiding principal is delivering results quickly by leveraging as much of a client’s existing investment in technology, systems, and processes as possible. Focusing on tactical solutions that build toward a strategic goal of making a company work the best that it can with the least amount of effort.

Company name
For most people in the computer industry, ETL stands for Extract - Transform - Load. And while data manipulation is a common in our engagements, the real origin, and meaning, of our company name isn’t so simple.
While discussing possible names, ETLs founders wanted a name that told a story about who the company was while being fun and easy to understand. One of our founders is a helicopter pilot. So naturally one of the most easily misunderstood concepts by young helicopter pilots was chosen. 
Effective translational lift (ETL) is when the lift generation from the rotor disc of a helicopter is more efficient due to increased aircraft speed or wind.
In short, ETL is when a helicopter needs less power to stay airborne and is easier to control. This is most often achieved through forward movement.
From a company standpoint, we focus on getting technology in place and providing value quickly. So that the benefits of use (forward movement) make it easier to maintain.
We are all about the impact we have. Bringing in the right technology, not because it is the newest, but because it is the best fit and provides value quickly.
